2009 Tartan Clef Awards

(27 Nov 2009) Mott The Hoople were recognized by Nordoff Robbins with the Tartan Clef Legend Award, in a ceremony on 27 Nov 2009 in Glasgow, Scotland. Ian Hunter, Mick Ralphs, Verden Allen, and Martin Chambers were there to receive the award, and performed two songs with Joe Elliott's Down n' Outz (and special guest oor Wullie on kazoo.)

2009 Classic Rock Awards

(02 Nov 2009) Mott The Hoople were recognized by Classic Rock magazine with the 2009 Comeback of the Year award. Mick Ralphs and Martin Chambers were in attendance at the event, and Ian Hunter made an appearance through a videotaped segment.

2009 Reunion

(06 Oct 2009) Mott The Hoople returned to The Hammersmith Apollo for five nights in October 2009. The reunion of one of the best loved rock and roll bands of the Seventies marked the first time the original line-up had played together for over 35 years.

MOJO Hall of Fame

(11 Jun 2009) Mott The Hoople were added to the Mojo Magazine Hall of Fame at the 2009 ceremony unveiling the Mojo Honours List, held at the Brewery in London on 11 June 2009. The band were inducted by Def Leppard vocalist Joe Elliott, one of the group's most prominent fans.

(May 2009) Mott The Hoople were featured in a twelve-page article in the May, 2009 issue of Mojo Magazine in the UK. They also have a track on the bonus CD included with the magazine. MOJO’s Kris Needs, the band’s former fanclub chairman, penned the article.
